Clear answers before anything goes live.

Tide is research, the Run is hypothetical, and signing in does not connect a brokerage. These answers define what Rainwater is today and what remains unfinished.

Frequently asked

The current futures posture.

01What is Tide?

Tide is Rainwater's futures research strategy for NQ and MNQ. Its rules are frozen for evaluation, and its public results are modeled from completed market data rather than broker fills.

02Is Tide trading live money?

No. Tide has no live order path, no connected brokerage execution, and no money at risk. The current lane is paper research, so every result should be read as hypothetical performance.

03Can I copy the trades?

No. Rainwater does not currently offer copy trading, trade routing, or a futures subscription. Signing in gives you access to research, preserved records, settings, and Rainwater Intel; it does not authorize execution.

04What is the difference between Tide, Run, and the Lab?

Tide is the strategy room and current operating posture. Run is the published performance record. The Lab holds the deeper research papers and the work that led to the current strategy.

05Why publish a losing strategy day?

A useful record includes drawdowns, flat periods, and operational limits. Rainwater keeps the full sequence visible so the strategy can be judged as a process rather than a collection of favorable screenshots.

06What would have to happen before live trading?

Execution would need to be tested in a controlled simulated venue, operating controls would need to pass, and the difference between modeled and attainable fills would need to be understood. Rainwater will state any posture change explicitly.

07Where are the incidents and older records?

The incident log and changelog remain public. Older desk records are preserved instead of being rewritten into Tide's history, and signed-in users can reach those records from the account navigation.

08What are the main risks?

Futures can produce rapid and substantial losses. Research results can differ materially from live outcomes because of slippage, missed fills, data problems, fees, market changes, and human error. Past or hypothetical performance does not guarantee future results.
